Printer Ink
Printer ink comes in a variety of types and makes. Each type of printer has its own specific type of ink that you must use. If you make a
mistake and put the incorrect type of ink into your printer there is a chance that you make seriously damage your printer. In most cases however,
if you have selected an incorrect cartridge, the ink will not fit into your printer. To decrease the chances of selecting the wrong ink cartridge
for your printer there are several things that you need to know when you shop for ink.
You must know the model type of your printer. There are two basic types of printers. There are inkjet printers and there are also laser
printers both using distinctly different types of ink cartridges. For example, the inkjet printers use ink cartridges while laser printers uses
electrostatic charges that transfers the toner to the paper. Laser printers produce the better quality printing but they can be quite costly.
Some laser printers have been known to cost thousands of dollars and since the ink doesn't come in a compact cartridge, the ink can be costly as
well.
There are ways of cutting the cost when dealing with inkjet printers. Most inkjet printers will have cartridge that can be refilled. Therefore
each time your ink runs out you don't need to run out and buy another new cartridge you can buy ink refills for half the cost of a new refill.
These refill kits allow you to refill your cartridge multiple times. Laser printers however do not work the same way. Since they use a toner, it
is necessary to buy a new toner cartridge each time which can be expensive if you are doing a great deal of printing. If you are looking for high
quality than laser printers are better but if you are looking for a cost efficient way to print than you should go with the inkjet style of
printers.
