Laser Printer Ink
There are many benefits to using laser printers versus inkjet printers; however, there are also some drawbacks. The major
drawback to using a laser printer is the cost of the laser printer ink. Each printer will take a different toner cartridge but each
cartridge will be roughly the same price. The prices can range anywhere from sixty to one hundred dollars per cartridge. This can be costly
if you are doing a great deal of printing.
The major advantage to using laser printers rather than inkjet printers is the quality of printing that is produced. The toner used in these
printers is manufactured differently than the inkjet ink. The toner is made in such a way to fuse to the paper making sure that there will be no
smudging or running of the ink. Laser printers also work faster than inkjet printers. In the time it takes to print one page on an inkjet
printer, there are two or three printed on the laser printer.
People often prefer to buy the inkjet printers as they are cheaper, roughly around sixty dollars each. Laser printers on the other hand can cost
hundreds of dollars. In the long run however, it might not be as cost effective as you might think to buy an inkjet printer. If you are working
for a business that does a great deal of printing, you will quickly find that you are replacing the ink cartridge more often than you would the
toner cartridge. Therefore in the long run, an inkjet printer will end up costing your more than a laser printer and the printing cartridges.
This is not something that is explained to you before you buy a printer. Manufacturers of the cheaper models would prefer that you spend more
money refilling your printer than just buying one printer and one toner cartridge that will do you a long time.
